How Fresh Market Hub uses cookies across the site.
1. What are cookies

They let the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the harvest catalogue is being used from one visit to the next. Fresh Market Hub also uses similar technologies such as local storage for the same purposes.
2. How we use cookies
We group cookies into categories based on what they do. When you first visit the site, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies or manage your preferences by category. Essential cookies cannot be switched off because the site cannot function correctly without them; all other categories are optional.
3. Essential cookies
These cookies are required for core functionality such as keeping items in your basket, remembering your delivery or pickup selection, maintaining your login session, and recording the cookie preferences you have already chosen. Without them, ordering a harvest box would not work reliably.
4. Functional cookies
Functional cookies remember choices you make, such as your preferred market-stall pickup location or the language of the site, so you do not need to re-enter them on every visit. Disabling these cookies means some preferences will reset each time you return.
5. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand which seasonal products, pages and features are used most, so we can plan harvest boxes and improve the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you individually to our analytics tools.
6. Marketing cookies
If enabled, marketing cookies help us show you relevant offers about upcoming harvests or homestead partners across other websites you visit. These cookies are off by default and only activate if you choose to accept them in the cookie banner.
7. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by trusted service providers we work with, such as our payment processor and analytics provider, rather than by Fresh Market Hub directly. These providers are bound by their own privacy and cookie practices, and only receive the categories of cookies you have consented to.
8. How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies, such as those remembering your login or cookie preferences, remain on your device for a set period — typically between thirty days and twelve months — unless you clear them sooner.
9. Managing your cookie preferences
You can change your cookie choices at any time by reopening the cookie preferences panel, available via the link in the site footer or the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Updating your preferences takes effect immediately for future page loads.
10. Browser controls
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly through their settings menu. Because essential cookies are required for ordering, blocking all cookies at the browser level may prevent you from completing a purchase on Fresh Market Hub.
11. What we keep in your browser
The cookie banner saves your answer in local storage under the name fmh-cookie-consent, together with the date you chose, so it does not interrupt you again while you put together a harvest box. That entry holds no name, address or order history. Basket and delivery details are kept separately, and only for as long as your order needs them.
12. Fonts and photographs
The typefaces on this site, Fraunces, Work Sans and Noto Sans JP, come from Google Fonts, and many photographs of produce, jars and market stalls are loaded from an external image library. Fetching these files shares your IP address and browser details with those providers so they can deliver them; we have not switched on any advertising features with them.
13. Cookies and the growers we work with
The farmers, preserve makers and eco-product artisans listed on Fresh Market Hub never receive cookie data about you. When you order from a grower, they receive only what is needed to pick, pack and send your order, as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or as regulations evolve. Any material changes will be reflected by an updated “last updated” date at the top of this page.
